History of Marina d'Or
Marina d'Or was founded in Spain in 1983 and, ever since, has been active in the areas of real estate development, construction and tourism, key components of the Spanish economy. To date, its most emblematic project is centred in Oropesa del Mar and Cabanes, where the Marina d’Or Holiday Resort is situated.
Marina d'Or has obtained the provisional award of contract for the development of Marina d'Or Golf, and is already the owner of the majority of the land area that will host the largest Leisure and Holiday Resort in Europe. The project includes themed hotels, the largest Scientific Seawater Spa in the World, and three golf courses created by Greg Norman and Sergio Garcia, specifically designed with an eye to hosting high-level competitive tournaments, with one of the courses hosting a Golf Academy.
Marina d'Or is a well established Group fully engaged in a programme of international expansion, fully committed to the economic and social growth of the overseas markets in which it is present, and with a well defined aim: to export its know how to each and every project. The Group’s penetration in new international markets through its own in-country developments is just one more step in the internationalization of the company that began in 2004.
Marina d'Or creates jobs in all the countries where it is established and has, at this moment, a workforce of 1,300 employees throughout the world. Its head office is located at the heart of Castellón de la Plana in Spain.
The Group has achieved numerous recognitions in all its operational areas: tourism, health, real estate development and construction, and has been awarded the ISO 9001 quality certificates in various of its hotels.
